Pick a User ID and you have an account. Your messages, calls and files are encrypted on your device before they leave it, and Orbit's relay passes them on — and holds them while you are offline — without being able to read them.

Running the service still needs some technical information: accounts, message delivery, calls, notifications and security. Orbit is designed around privacy and data minimisation, and keeps that set as small as it can. Your privacy matters.
